So this week has been a rather hectic one!
We have been looking for a few weeks/months at rehoming a dog to keep our 6 year old labrador Chiara company during the day whilst we are at work. We had to make sure the dog we took on we could provide a loving home to and lots of attention, whilst the dog also being the right fit for our kind of home.
So after weeks of searching we finally stumbled across Harlow last weekend!! Harlow is a 6 year old chocolate Labrador (she is two months older than Chiara). Harlow unfortunately had been stuck in the middle of a divorce, both partners had moved out of the family home during the divorce and could no longer keep her due to their new circumstances.
On the whole Harlow is an amazing dog, very clever she has mastered opening doors……any door including sliding ones, she also can spot a bag of Haribo sweets from a mile away. She has a few bad habits she has picked up over the years but we have already begun training and the saying you can’t teach an old dog new tricks is not true in Harlow’s case, she is progressing wonderfully.
We are currently working on barking issues and training around food.
So here are a few pictures from our first week as a family of four (pictures being posted daily on Instagram)
Lots of Love
